Sean Mosley was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut where he attended Waterbury Public Schools before earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Howard University in 2006. He later attended Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut and graduated in 2008 with a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary English degree.
Sean began his teaching career at Wilby High School in 2008 as an English teacher as well as the Lead Teacher for the Cyber Challenge program. He later left Wilby and helped start the GEAR UP program in Waterbury working at North End Middle School as a Site Coordinator.
Sean returned to the classroom a year later beginning his current tenure at Crosby High School where he serves as the English Department Chair. He has also worked as a teacher for the Yeshiva Gedolah of Waterbury and as a Teacher Facilitator with INROADS.
Sean is currently working toward his Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Administration from Sacred Heart University. In March, he was chosen by the National Endowment for the Humanities as a Summer Scholar earning him the opportunity to study civil rights at Georgia State University this past summer.
Sean is a member of Grace Baptist Church as well as the Second Vice Chair of Waterbury Democrat Town Committee and an Executive Board Member at Large for the Waterbury Teacher’s Association.
Sean currently resides in Waterbury.
